I have a desktop machine (Desktop1) with LAN and WLAN connections; a laptop
machine which I used to connect over the WLAN and another desktop machine
(Desktop2) which connects over the WLAN.  The WLAN is ad-hoc, and internet
connection sharing is provided by Desktop1 via a USB ...

Need some help with network connection. I need to connect to my works
network and, to do this need to open up port 50000 on the router. I have
contacted linksys and this port has been opened on the router but i still get
problems logging on to my works network.

I'll keep this question simple...
My home [desktop Dell CPU] has the XP Home Edition OS.  My work laptop
currently uses the Windows 2000 Professional OS.  I'm having trouble
sucessfully sharing my home printer(hard-wired to home CPU) with my laptop.

I currently have a PC and a laptop and both are connected to the internet via
a bt voyager wireless router/modem.
My PC is connected to the router via a cable and my laptop is connected to

Asymmetrical Wireless Transfer Speeds.
If I transfer a file from my desktop to my laptop, I get 2.2MB/sec.
If I transfer a file from my laptop to my desktop, I get 900KB/sec.
