Do anyone know can I speedup "looking up WLAN"/"handshake" in Windows XP
(register etc.).
I have WinXP Pro where is RT61 pci card. I don't use Ralink drivers/software

I am trying to connect a desktop computer to a wireless network. Other
computers connect to the router both wired and wirelessly. The routers I have
tried are the BT Home Hub and D-Link DSL-G604T, the same problem exists with

Have been setting up a broadband connection with a netgear wireless router.
It was working fine until i set the wep to enabled, i used wep because two
of teh four computers have 11b cards.  After that we could connect to the
network but none of the pc's had email or internet.

This is really weird! Sometimes (getting more frequent) I boot up and it
doesnt come up with network icons in my tray. Then when I go to start bar and
"connect to" tab, the start bar freezes. I know it must be a windows issue.

i am trying to connect to wireless but it keeps saying i need to turn
wireless on on my laptop. It says there should be a button on side or back of
computer, but there isnt. The wireless icon on my computer isnt lit up. Any
ideas how to turn it on? I have a Fujitsu laptop

I am trying to connect using a wireless connection, I have the wireless set
up, but when I search on "view available networks" there is nothing listed.  
When I use "Network Stumbler", it shows several networks including the one I
want to connect to.

Still having problems, the desktop wont connect to the secure network
properly.  When it has been set as secure from unsecure it just logs itself
in, (doesn't ask for the key like the laptops).
It has a dlink pci card fitted, could it be a problem with the card or

I just purchased a new router to replace an old one.  Before installing it
for my home network do I need to uninstall or do something about the old
installed router or should it be OK to just ignore it (so I can go back to
it if the new one does not work out)?
