The newly installed AP (access point) is connected to a
router and the AP works as expected. But when I try to log
into 192.168.0.231 the browsers (IE and Firefox) cannot find
the AP. Pinging the AP returns timeouts.

Being very new to Routers and networking, I wonder if there is a website I
can go to that will explain Routers to me in layman's terms.  I am trying,
