I have an HP laptop and a Linksys 802/11g router. When I first connect, the speed is 54. After a short time the speed drops to 1. I have a Dell laptop and the speed may drop to 35, but it always performs well.

Have "ADDON"?? Wireless LAN USB 2.0 Adapter, (logo is a lowercase "a" at 45 dgree angle in a square) with original packaging, paper instruction and set-up disk. It's about 2 years old, and networked fine, till the "slave" pc terminally crashed (corrupted HDD boot sector).
