Can access IP Address with Browser but not URLs31 Mar 2007 21:25 GMT2
I have a PC connected by a wireless network to a Korg router.
I have XP SP2. If i enter the IP address for google in the browser then I
can bring up the www.google.co.uk. If I put www.google.co.uk into the browser
then it says web site not found.

I am having a problem with a four PC home network that I set up but I cannot
get all of the computers working together on the network.  What I have so far

I am having trouble setting up an ad hoc network on the 802.11 a band.
Someone mentioned to me that this was not allowed by the 802.11
regulatory specification, but I have not been able to find that
information in my IEEE spec (perhaps because they are old).

I have a dlink WBR 2310 router and use a Belkin USB adapter on a laptop to
connect to the wireless network.
The router supports WEP,WPA,WPA2 and WPA Auto encryption.

I've been wondering about all these public wifi access points.  I've always
been told that using hotels and cafes does not offer a user the best
security.  But, how about towns that set up wireless throughout their
boundaries for residents and visitors to use?  I know that hotels ...

after removing vista (because my laptop was too slow) i reinstalled XP Home
edition on it but all my drivers were removed, so i went on another computer
and downloaded sound drivers and network drivers, but there is a problem with
