Is it possible to force Vista to perform Computer Authentication for Wireless
Connections instead of User Authentication?  You can do it in XP but I can't

I previously used a D-Link DGL-4300 router, to which I had attached a
semi-directional DWL-M60AT antenna, with good results across the house,

I just got through reformatting my hard drive on my laptop. Now I am not able
to connect wireless to the internet. There is no ip address identfied.

             I am in the process of setting up a wireless network at home.
Involved will be 3 computers, 2 desk tops and a laptop all running Win-XP.
My laptop has a wireless card built in, and I purchased 2 Belkin USB
wireless adapters for the 2 desk tops.

Am using Thunderbird, XP, and ISP Comcast. Works fine at my home wireless
network, but not at remote wi-fi sites. Outgoing server is default
smtp.comcast.net,port 587.  Server settings: POP mail server,
mail.comcast.net Port 110.  Have turned off PC-cillin outgoing mail check.  

It was working fine.
Even now it shows connection and I can ping google.com, yahoo.com.
ipconfig shows ip address.
For all intents and purposes, it seems to be connected but Internet
