Please, does someone know if it is possible to connect with Vista Wirless to an AP with configuration 802.1X but without static WEP and without dinamic WEP (without encryptation only with authentication 802.1X)?

I connected my modem to a linksys router, and one of its net-port to a desktop with a patch cable. I have my laptop downstairs, for some reason the signal quality changes from excellent to poor, then it deconnects.
