I've got a WLAN as part of our network.  Six AP's (D-Link DWL-2200AP;s) and
a managed switch (D-Link DES-3828). One AP is wired to the switch with an IP
on the LAN - 192.168.16.x.  Two SSID's - one for access to the LAN (it is
WPA2 enabled) and the other is for guests/visitors ...

Packard Bell desktop (iMedia) running MS XP SP2
Zoom X6 (model 5590) ADSL modem/router (connected to desktop)

I can't connect to the internet through my wireless network with laptop using
vista home basic. The computer shows that it's connected to the network but
will not let the browser connect.

I've heard conflicting opinions as to whether one should run the DNS Client
in Services of not (Automatic, Manual, Or not).
I kinda think it's not a necessary, but I want to make sure.

Re installing Belkin USB Wireless adapter after installing a new HD. The
windows icon is showing a wireless icon without the red cross but when I
click on it it's permanently on 'acquiring network address' and I can't

Often when I turn my computer on after it has been hibernated I find that I
cannot access the internet.  This used not to be a problem but has become one
recently.  I either need to restart the computer or reset the router.

I have a home network with 3 computers in a workgroup.  I am trying to add a
4th computer.  The computer logs into the network and I can get to the
Internet.  It does not recognize the Workgroup.  DHCP is enabled and IPCONFIG
shows the IP address, subnet mask, dns address, ...

Have just re-installed Windows and need to re-install a Belkin Wireless
Network Adapter. Have uninstalled it in Device Manager then on reboot
pointed windows to the driver file, but it says it can't find the driver.

I've a Sony Vaio laptop and at home I've no trouble  finding any Wifi points.
When I am at the airport or somewhere else in a foreign country I cannot find
any free public Wifi points at all.
Could someone please help me?

When I get disconnected from my network or if I found a new network I can
reconnect unless I restart the PC. Is this normal or there are problems Thanks
