Does anyone know a way to view the mac address of the AP that you are currently connected to? Can this information be obtained throughs windows XP SP2? The laptops are used in a hospital and we would like to not install additional software.

windows keeps connecting to the router with ip 169.254.135.169. it cant find the dhcp server in the router as far as i know. i tried a lot of resetting and uninstalling things back to original but nothing seems to make a difference.

Does anyone know if you can use the Intel ProSet/Wireless Software to manage the 3945abg Intel adaptor on a Lenovo T60 laptop. I have installed the software from Intel but do not see the ProSet software as an option to manage the wireless connection. I'm running Windows XP SP2.

Does anyone know if subject Driver exists? If it does where can I find it? It seems that even Microsoft cannot keep up with change. I am very satisfied with the product but when I switched one of my computers to Xp x64 I find that drivers are some time hard to come by.

I have 2 laptops with wireless cards, both XP Pro SP2, and i have a linksys router with broadband internet. I set up the router with WPA-PSK security, and to allow both laptops with MAC filtering. Both laptops connect to the router perfectly to gain internet access.

I am setting up a home wireless network for a friend. He has two laptops which have inbuilt wireless adaptors. Are these any less efficient than buying and installing network adaptor cards from whichever ADSL Router manufacturer I buy for him?
