I have tried configuring a wireless network on my desktop PC  but the AOL
Easy-Install CD doesn't recognise the Pluscom WU -ZD1211B Wireless Adapter.
I am running Windows XP
Netgear DG834G Wireless Router.

Tearing my scant hair on this one:
Adapter is a IntelPro LAN 2100 3b mini adapter in a Gateway M505 B2
notebook. The new router is a Linksys WRT54g. The problem is that after a
week or so we can no longer "see" the Router and cannot connect to our  home
Netgear WG511v2 card, WLanCfg5.exe mfc app hogs cpu time01 Sep 2007 17:51 GMT1
I am using WG511v2 wireless card in two pcs running Windows XP on my home lan
which connects to the internet via wireless modem.
Process Explorer shows wlancfg5.exe (an MFC application) running repeatedly
net.exe and net1.exe which is hogging cpu time. Any way to prevent this ...

Can I just say that if, like me, you have a remote pc/laptop connected
wirelessly to your network and you wish to share files/folders/printers,
first disable or remove any other firewall except Microsoft's Windows
Firewall and all wizards will work first time.
