I have two computers both networked together through a Wireless Hub - Belkin.
One is a Gateway desktop 500 c with 1 G memory.  The other is a Dell Laptop
also with 1 G memory.  I can access some things but not all of them.  The

Using my desktop PC, which is accessing the net via a wireless setup, I am
unable to access certain web sites because it is attempting to access them
via WAP.  I continue to get a message that it is an unknown file type.  i.e.
"wap-q1043_com" when attempting to access q1043.com ...

Carrying on from my last question (can't now find the thread), I gather I
need a wireless access point which I connect to my landline connected (ADSL)
Netcomm Modem/router. Then I can roam round the house with my Toshiba A100
notebook with inbuilt Atheros wireless card.

I have DSL cable connected to my PC (XP OS no WiFi card) Can I plug it to a
router, the router to the cable and then use WIFI just for my laptop (Vista
with built-in WiFi) or do I have to install WiFi adapter in PC also? Thanks

Is it OK to disable wireless connection on the notebook while I need to

The situation is this, using Thomson speedtouch 570 gateway (192.168.1.1). At

I have a user who can't connect to her wireless network at home.
The error says something to the effect that because there are shared folders
on the PC it won't connect to an unsecured wireless access point...
Is there a way around this?
