Carrying on from my last question (can't now find the thread), I gather I need a wireless access point which I connect to my landline connected (ADSL) Netcomm Modem/router. Then I can roam round the house with my Toshiba A100 notebook with inbuilt Atheros wireless card.

I have DSL cable connected to my PC (XP OS no WiFi card) Can I plug it to a router, the router to the cable and then use WIFI just for my laptop (Vista with built-in WiFi) or do I have to install WiFi adapter in PC also? Thanks for your help.

I have a user who can't connect to her wireless network at home. The error says something to the effect that because there are shared folders on the PC it won't connect to an unsecured wireless access point... Is there a way around this?
