Hi, I have laptop with Windows XP (Service pack 2) and a wireless
network in my house, which all computers use without any problems.
However this specific laptop will from time to time not recognize any

 I downloaded and installed the DGL-3420 firmware version 102b66 that
is now on their support site (1.03 has been pulled).
Installed it and was able to get WPA-PSK TKIP to work with the DIR-655,

Due to some wiring issues, I decided to take advantage of my wireless
network card currently in my PC.  It's a Linksys card and is 11mbps.

I am only a newbie but I note a pattern to recent problems. They all seem to
say words to the effect that it was OK on XP and not on Vista. Could it be

my 10 year old son tends to be on line all night if given the chance.

I am trying to connect to my wireless router, and I keep getting the
message "Limited or No Connectivity".  When looking at the settings,
it looks like the device assigns me an IP address and a Subnet mask
(255.255.0.0), but the Gateway field is blank.

I am driving myself crazy over here trying to setup a basic home
network. Let me tell you what I have and what I am trying to do. I
have a cable modem for my internet connection and a Netgear WGT624
wireless router. To complicate things I also have a Vonage box for my

If we have multiple WAP's in our building, is the best way to set those up
to put each one on a different channel? Will laptops seamlessly move between
them with out dropping drives etc.?
