I am just starting to look at possibly going wireless and was wondering which
broadband router is better for security and transmitting distance?

Just had cable installed and so now have a cable modem to access net on pc.
Used to access the net through the phone line using a Inventel DV4210 which

I've been told that if I want to go wireless, I now need to buy a wireless

I want to use my wireless network to back up files on to an external
(USB) HD, in Windows XP, rather than move the HD from computer to
computer. The MyDocuments folder for the source computer was made
shareable, but I couldn't see it across the network on the target

Here is my problem.
I have a local network (Netgear router) under WinXP SP2 with 2 desktops and
2 laptops (Wi-Fi connection).Each one has a shared folder for communication.
They all access internet without a problem BUT:

a Siemens Gigaset SE567 wireless router.
When I load the main page, I have the ability to redirect

My boss' laptop keeps grabbing the public library's unsecured wireless
