There is a network with two computers.  It is an ad hoc network because the
only internet available is evdo (cellular dial up) due to the remoteness of
the location.  Windows ICS was used and the connection was fine.  Now, there
is a 2.4Ghz cordless phone in the room with the ...

Switching between wired and wireless25 Jun 2008 10:09 GMT8
Is anyone aware of automated methods in XP to switch off the wireless
interface when connected to wired Ethernet?  Most options I've seen involve
convoluted scripting. Users don't seem to be able to handle manual process,
and we don't find any XP Group Policy that will help.
Setting wireless network after reformatting24 Jun 2008 15:07 GMT3
I had to reformat my harddrive and used a Gateway recovery disk. Seems like

laptop to my netgear wireless router, I don't get the "Wireless Networks" tab
to use Windows to configure the wireless network.
Need some basic help on updating my home configuration24 Jun 2008 14:39 GMT2
I suspect this won't be the right place (ultimately) to take this topic, but
since I get such good help when I come to these forums I thought I'd start
here.
I have a relatively simple (and I assume common) home wireless network.

Hi, I've just joined a new company and the internet connection for me
is not ready yet (there's not enough sockets!) I've got a friend whose

wireless and wired networking21 Jun 2008 14:10 GMT2
I am being very cautious about setting up a home network.  I have (from AT&T)
a 2wire wireless gateway with a desktop connected by Ethernet and a laptop
connected wirelessly.  Do I need anything else (hardware) to share the
printers connected to the desktop with the wireless ...

no wireless connections. I close it and it comes back again and again. How do
I stop it?

Linksys Connection Issue20 Jun 2008 13:38 GMT4
My wireless adapter worked fine connecting to the internet using WEP.  Then
I bought a wireless router so I could get internet access using my PS3 but
noticed the PS3 uses WPA, not WEP.  OK, so I setup the PS3 with WPA and it
works fine.
