I have a very annoying dillema. So I have a wireless network that my laptop (XP) hooks up to. I am getting signals for the router, but my laptop doesn't seem to be actually recieving the signal. How can do I put it, my laptop says there are signals being sent but like only one

i have problem in sharing files and folder and in workgroups for about a month! i've tried searching google, microsoft support, knowledge base and help and support center, and i couldn't find a solution for the problem.

I have an XP laptop (dell) & a Vista laptop (Acer), both with built-in wireless networking. I can have both of them downstairs (WAP is upstairs) & the Vista laptop keep dropping the connection, while XP laptop has no problems.

I recently got a Dlink DWL-G50 wireless adapter for one of my older laptops (a Compaq, running WinXP Home SP2). The Dlink card is a "Rev. B5", and I downloaded the drivers from Dlink and got them installed.

I have a new d-Link 655 n router which I have set the wep encryption on so that my old Dell Axim PDA can still access the wireless. I want to switch to the n protocol, but that requires that I switch to WPA/PA2 encryption, which the PDA does not support.
