In previous windows versions, the search facility
(ie from the start button on the task bar) would let
you find a string in a text file even if the text file did
not end in .txt (as far as I recall).  Now however if I

it says the file is corrupt or damaged i just reloaded
the system and i sure dont want to lose everything again

I am thinking of installing a second hard drive with Windows 98, as XP wont
allow me to load some older games.( Alone in the Dark 1 2&3-Monkey Island
ect ).
Will this solve this problem? Any other advice welcome.

I have a large WMP  file I downloaded and I cannot delete. When I try it
says the file is being used by another person or program. I am the only user
on my PC. I have stopped Windows Media Player from running many times. I've
also tried playing something else in WMP as well as ...

I get a grey square where the Java eal is supposed to be and then the
browser goes away.
I have tried to update Java VM... but it still crashes.
