I have just purchased a new pc for the office and wish to
password protect it at start up so no one can even get my
pc open without the password.  How do I do this?

I recently,(just today) tried to log on as the administrator, and it would
not accept my password. I turned off the computer, removed the battery
backup, reinstalled the battery, logged in as administrator, reset password,
and my system seemed fine. Then I connected to MSN Messenger ...

Does anyone know why my TaskManager appears for a few
seconds and when I try to click on it, it vanishes,
leaving an outline of the TaskManager box on my screen.  
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I get XP to let Limited users log on to DSL?  It says it is limited
to Administrator accounts.  You should not surf while logged in as an
Administrator.  Help

I recently installed a Buslink USB 2.0 Hi Speed
DVD+RW+R Drive and for awhile it worked fine.
Now when I try to burn photo images to a DVD+RW,
I get a message that says:

I have several win2000 machines that log into a server no
problem.  We have ordered a bunch of new machines with XP
Pro on them.  When I try to log into the server the

I saved selected data from Windows Me, zapped the drive
and made it a slave to a new larger one and installed
Windows xp on an NTFS file system. When I attempted to

When I try to open task manager, it just closes after one
second.  This happened after I received a windows
messenger message that said the computer must shut down.

When I go to my computer and click on any of my hard disk
drives the search dialog opens up rather than the folder
opening so i can see whats inside. I have to right click
and select open in order for the contents to be viewed.
