Stop Error comes up when I turn on computer. The error is

Trying to install a One Touch Scanner.  Receive a message "not enough
memory".  I'm a 78 year old, and don't use my computer that much.  How did
my memory get over crowded, and how do I clear memory to make room for my
scanner.  Please help, Im losing  " my memory and patience."  ...

I was loading sp1 onto my system, and it warned me if I
allowed it to make certain changes it would conflict with
current software so I told it no.  I then got the "blue
screen of death" and it refused to boot into XP.  I

When I boot XP it hangs on the Blue screen after the
balck XP logo screen. The hard drive continues to be
accessed but it not progress with booting up. This is not
a virus issue. I believe the OS was corrupted by a disk

I bought a used computer from a friend.  It has Windows
XP Professional on it.  He gave me the password to get
in...but it doesn't work.  How can I get around this?

I'm getting inundated with a message from "Microsoft Corporation Public
Assistance" and "Microsoft Program Security" telling me to update my
security and install a new 'cumulative patch'.  I get as many as 10 at a

My notebook was recently stolen from my home. I did not
buy it from a company or store. I bought it from a friend
who got it from a friend and I never thought of writing
down the serial number or any other type of information

Windows cannot find C:\WINXP\system32\system32.exe, make
sure you typed tye correct name...

I just got the W32/Swen@MM worm virus.  It disables Regedit.
According to Symantec: "The virus modifies the value: "DisableRegistryTools"

to disc, but cannot open them on the new system.  It
tells me that some components of MS Works are not there,

I installed XP on to my laptop and it did indicate that
there was a file missing......... well in talking to the
IT dept (small firm) they told me to hit continue.   Well
low and behold if it now does not start up ..... upon
