I started my computer up and it went through it's usual start-up and then
shut off. Tried to restart itself again and  then just shut off again. Did
this about 5 times before it actually got to be stable and allowed me to log
on. It was like someone had there finger on the Power ...

When I receive e-mails with attachments I am unable to
open them, I get a promp asking if I want to open the
attachment I answer yes and then it tells me that the file
is in use and I am unable to open it.  Do I have my e-mail

I have a shared network drive pointing to a database
executable file on another machine. The folder on the
other machine is shared. when I click on the icon that is
mapped to the executable, I receive "access to table

I seem to have a problem activating my Windows XP account.
The icon for activating it shows up, but when I click on
it the activate screen doesnt appear. Would someone please
help me right away, I only have 16 days left to activate.

I have reinstalled WinXP on my drive C:\, and wanted to
access to my encrypted files wich are located on my drive
D:\ wich were encrypted with the old System. unfortunatly
I didnt decode those files before i reinstall the new

I installed an update for .NET Framework 1.1 that forces
me to log on to Windows even though I am the sole user. I
found a work around the sign on but it doesn't work for
me. Would there be any harm in deleting this update via

Where does a client find you so called "site
administrator" that I must contact, as stated in a rebuke
by a microsoft robot, when asking an xp question, I sent
and was stopped mid point and advised to contact the site

Fisrt of all I have forgotten my password, how can I
reset it to get in my computer and then how can i remove
the windows xp welcome screen so that

When booting up, I get a blue page and am instructed to
click my USER NAME,  Doing so, it continues to finally
boot up.  I didn't have to click my user name previously,

Turned on my computer today and got Stop c0000218
(registry file failure)error. I tried to use the recovery
console to repair it, but when I do, it asks for an
administrator password which I never set. Can anyone help?

I bought a brand new HP 762, connected it to my wireless
network at home, installed all the updates from
Windows.Updates and everything seemed to work fine.
I then took the machine to my office, where it will be

that point.  I have tried rebooting in a safe mode and I
