I tried to get the application compatibility news group
but kept getting the message that the URL was wrong so I
thought I would try here.  I badly need a new desktop but

I'm not sure if this is my problem or not but there are
certain websites which I can never ever get onto.  It
takes so long to access these sites, I receive the
timeout error.

This is bizarre or so it seems. Dell has no solution
apparently. A week ago I updated VirusScan with no problem

Yea the problem that I am having is that after turning on
the computer....is that it may stay going for a few

This is starting to get frustrating. Every time I boot up
the process stops with a screen stating that I have to
press enter to go back to the original configuration.

a popup saying files that are needed to run windows properly have been
replaced with unrecognizable files then it tells me to use Windows XP home
edition service pack1 cd  which I don't have I bought this system new less
then 1 year ago and that didn't come with it   colin

One year old Dell P4 laptop running XP on wireless
network, battery power, open IE window and it freezes, end
task, open IE again but can't find home page, restart
computer, get blue screen.

I installed Win XP Home Edition, and then I installed
full installation version of Netscape 7.1.
The icon shows up, but when I click it it blinks for a
fraction of a second and N7.1 does not opens.
