My laptop stopped working, so I removed the hard drive
and bought a USB hard drive enclosure to put the hard
drive in.
I have connected the enclosure to my New PC, and can see

there's a way to take the arrow off the shortcut icons,
and somehow I accidently made it so that shortcuts don't
work. Is there an application that should be associated

using windows xp the desktop is blank for all users.  The
system worked fine last night. After I booted up this am
I clicked on my profile, xp started user settings. The
only thing on the desktop is the background. No desktop,

Whenever I log onto the computer, I get the following
message before my desktop appears:
"Windows cannot find 'copy'..."
Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Had a problem with machine which may have been caused by
an excessive number of processes running unknowingly.  Was
locked up on a web page and had to turn off the machine.

I have an Access based program that previously ran on the
XP computer before it was networked with another computer
in my home.  Now when I try to do a backup within the
program or to run a program update online, I get the "Run-

Can anyone tell me what this executable is and what might
make it hang, pegging the cpu at 99%?
This is running on a laptop and it only hangs when the
laptop is undocked.

How do I find out the above as when I try to setup my newsgroups  my XP
setup says use, msnews.microsoft.com but that doesnt work.

Just purchased a PC, connected through a wireless adapter
with our other PC. Internet was working, but I had
problems with MSN Messenger and don't know if I changed
some settings by accident, now I can't see any webpages,

New Windows XP system, after installing some applications,
have large blank area between first 5 or 6 installed
applications and remaining applications in add remove
programs window. All original software, current on virus

Don't know what happened. If i double click on any folder
in my windows explorer, search window opens up instead of
opening that folder.
Any help in this regards will be highly appreciated.

this is a new ststem i know have.. out it guy had to work
on it to stop alot of pop ups that kept coming up with
out being on line... now all of a sudden i have no sound
