My wifes laptop requires you to hit cntrl alt del to boot to xp. It gives you the option of using a card or using cntrl alt del. how can i get this to go away?

After I logon to the domain the Win XP machine stays on the 'Applying Network Setting' box for 2-5 minutes. There are 10 WinXP Pro clients and they randomly do this except for one of them which consistently takes about 15 minutes
