I had windows XP installed by Gateway. They supplied me with an XP upgrade disc. Recently my hard drive had to be reformatted. I am now unable to reinstall XP because I do not have the code to enter. Is there anything I can do?

Through 4 or 5 operating system versions I've used the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar (i.e. osa.exe). However, it doesn't come with XP and the W2000 osa.exe doesn't seem to do anything on XP either. Has this application done away, or is there something in XP to take it's place
