My computer will start up and give me a report of a
hardware/software problem and give me options like safe
mode, restart with the last good settings etc. but very
time i click on one of these options it shows the windows

Hi I get this message when I tried to install Windows XP
Professional - full version.  It says:  Instation Failed:  
D\I386\asms.  Error:  The volume for a file has been

I tried to boot using safe mode , last know good

Can someone shed light on how to clear or disable the

Whenever I cold boot my computer The following message

I installed XP about four months ago. This weekend the
system was running normally when I went away to make a
drink, on my return 5 minutes, the screen had gone blank.
I tried ctrl-alt-del, nothing. Eventually I had to switch
