I have Windows XP Pro on my Compaq. Everything was
running fine today and I rebooted because I was
installing Broadband Internet and My computer settings
have changed and completely locked me out. I do not know

When installing Norton Antivirus 2003 it has to access my
system32/drivers file but it can't do anything to it b/c
it is read only.  When I try to remove the read only check
for this folder it lets me, but as soon as I check to see

Whenever I attempt to access certain websites
(http://www.gecko-games.com)and (http://www.gamespot.com)
that annoying "Page cannot be displayed" message comes up.
Now, the websites are definately online, because I can

I have windows pro xp + service pack 1 on a stand alone computer

Ive recently installed XP profesional. HAd ME before. Also upgraded my
Norton Antivirus. Since then my pc clanks away almost constantly taking an
age to open any program and a full 5 minutes to boot up. Any siggestions
gratefully accepted.

anti virus deleted my Ink files in the registry and now I
can't change to my admin account to edit the registry
Anyone have an idea?

A friend have some trouble with IE6. When he tries to visit a page that
uses frames the page just blinks once (appears and then immediately
disappers) leaving him with a blank page.
Have checked the system with AdAware, which cleaned out a few objects,

My brother keeps on (to bypass my password) goes into safe
mode (windows xp) and creates his own account to get on my
laptop against my will. In this way he can get around the
password prompt. I've looked every where, including google

Help! My new Gateway pc will not boot up. I've had it for
4 months with absolutely NO problems. I've recently added
NO new software or hardware and it was virus free. (run
