When going to options and setting the home page to default to a particular site, then going to apply and Ok, will then always default to another site I have not heard off. What can be done to rectify this please? Your help much appreciated.

I went to 'Set Program Access and Defaults' and change my default email program and it set IE to the default browser (which it was anywya) and now XP points IE to a non- existant 'backup' path. I corrected it in the shortcut

Every time i boot up the computer and click a user profile to log in as, the Windows XP system starts up. It then procedes to load itself for a bit, and then every time without fail, resets the computer. any suggestions?

i jsut purchased Norton Internet Security, i try to install it and it just close after about 10 seconds. i also installed a game red alert old one and when i go to load it and play it it closes after about 10 seconds

It is a long story but what it comes down to is that I had to reformat my second hard drive (I know, I know !!!). What software program can I use now to recover some of the files?

I had xp home installed on my old pc. Then i bought a new pc and transfered the files from old hdd to new (which also have xp installed). Some of the folders and files if i want to open it it says : "Access denied ".
