we can not access our computer because we do not know the password. the computer was in a Computer recylce center and was given to us. Can someone help us reset the password. We do not have a "Password Reset" disk

When I go to Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs and then select Add/Remove Windows components I get the message that 'comnt5.inf' is missing. Since I don't have the installation disc [the manufacturer did not include one] how do I solve the problem?

I am trying to emulate what explorer does when you double click on a selected file. In other words I need to know the program name and arguments that are passed to it in order to open the file with its registered program.
