I have a tv with a vga input. Screen resolution must be 640x480. My Windows XP SP2 notebook only goes to 800x600. Is there a display driver which I can install that will allow a lower resolution?

Each time I try to open up Internet Explorer, the hour glass shows for a split second, then nothing. My Outlook Express opens just fine. I'm using Windows xp home edition. Any suggestions for finding it? Also I can't open my Windows Update. My Outlook Express works just fine so ...

Hi - I'm new to PC ownership. Is there a way of correcting having to constantly scroll horizontally because website pages are often too wide for my screen? I did not have this problem when I was using Windows 98 SE... only now that I am using Windows XP. Thank you. Herbert

I'm using an Acer Aspire 1700, including a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-811. I'm able to burn DVD -r, but since recently, I do not succeed to burn CDs anymore. In the log, it states "#18 DVDR -400 File Writer.cpp, Line 331 SCSI Target error" Any idea?

every time i startup/restart windows my settings have reverted back to 'default settings' ie. wallpaper and screensaver has changed, there is no default printer set up, MSN messenger settings are default, icons on desktop have rearranged, no quicklaunch toolbar in task bar
