No one else uses my computer so how do I de-activae the log on screen and
have it set up so it just logs on without me having to enter passwords etc...
ps, I also have to re-log on after my time out screen saver comes up.

New to XP:  When using MS Word my delete button won't work on my new XP.
The only way I can delete a word is to use the backspace button.  Anyone
have any ideas?

i have this problem :
we have 2 Microsoft mouses (explorer 3.0 and intellimouse optical) connected
to the same computer. One mouse is ambidextrous which is used by our
lefthanded users, and one is right handed mouse used by righthanded users.

I have some pps attachments which I can't open. I have downloaded Powerpoint
2003 and 2007 and they don't recognise the pps files.
     When I ask them to open those attachments i get the message

I had a problem with my computer,and did a repair from my windows xp pro set
up disk.I did a windows update.Every thing now works ,except I cant open IE
7.

When I manually update one care I get the message on the task bar that one
care is up to date.  I still have a red icon and message on the main page
that says the program can not automatically update.  Virus and spyware file

The (only) com port (1) on my PC doesn't recognise devices connected via
RS232C.   Of the eight com ports, only 2 and 3 appear to be recognised when
a device is connected.  Any ideas appreciated...
