it runs my cpu at 100%. it freezes my computer. it causes my tower to make a humming noise. it makes me crazy. ive tried disabling every auto update on my computer, because i read it was connected to either my norton, or windows update.

Hi, I have XP home.sp2 on a dell and every time I try to boot up, skn dsk starts saying there is a dirty volume on NTFS and needs to scan. It starts normally after this scan and a re-boot, but the whole process takes over 15 minutes. Frustrating. I am thinking of moving

If i right click start menu at bottom of screen the screen resets (Back ground remains). also if i right click explore drive and then righ click a folder to cut / copy etc the screen also resets

I get logged out direct after I have logged in. I don't even get the screen just login sound and message login a short view of desktop at first attempt after a restart but not the following login attempts. Then it says loging out and the music plays logout tune.

When I went to Add/Remove Program and click on the Add/Remove Window Components I get a window saying "Setup was unable to open information file netoc.inf. Why is this happening ? and How do I fix it so that I can open the Add/Remove Window Components feature.
