ok last night i installed the windows service pack 3 update cuz my
computer was insisting on it.
I installed it, restarted it, then everytime i log on , and the
farthest ive gotten is a white box loading in the place of the start

I have windows XP SP2, all was going well till couple a months ago, I
installed (sigh) Nero 9 (I had Nero 7 on my PC & was fine), it messed all
things up so I uninstalled it but the Autoplay menu was messed up with lots
of "error" along with "open with media player" etc...

I have a Dell reinstall disk which I *think* goes with this computer.

Somehow xp split from the c: directory into c: and d: directories. C: seems
to contain the boot partition and D: the System partition both on the same

My dearly beloved daughter managed to enter a new access password for Wxp,
and promptly forgot the password.
The computer has XP SP2 (maybe 3), and I can't get in to the system to

Did a system recover and a back up folder was created (C:\My Backup) of all
files on my hard drive.  My question is can I reinstall any of them files
back to my computer if so where can I find instructions on how to reinstall
only want the ones that are no longer available to ...

I have a computer that was recently thrown offline because the wireless
internet router was set to a wpa password instead of a wep password. I assume
this is because my computer is ill-fit to cope with a wpa password, so I'm
trying to update it.
