When I bring up My Computer and right click on drive A D or E nothing
happens. When I do a Ctrl + Alt + Delete it says NOT RESPONDING. Does anybody

After the intial boot up when my computor will read any files on a dvd or cd
which was in the drive on boot up. After that I am unable to read any more

i installed a dvd reader device on my pc with windows xp professional.
when i insert a cd with an installation programm, this program starts.
Windows explorer cannot open the cd. When i click or doble click on the
icon of the dvd-drive nothing happens.

Have found lists of fonts supplied with windows xp, but where can I find a
list of those fonts which must not be deleted?

Since installing Windows XP Pro I am unable to send emails, although I can
still receive them.
Each time I click on Send/Receive button the window of the email in the
process of being sent pops up but then times out.

I didn't stump you last time, so I'll try again <g>.  I had a
warning today that my browser wanted to go to sa.windows.com.
Hmm, says I, what's that?  Says it's locally initiated, and I
know my machine's clean, so I says to myself, self ... .

How can I make search companion  to default to map drive or a folder on a
map drive in the "look in" section?
