I like to use windows xp FTP to tranfer files from 1 server to a local drive. Does anyone has a example? ( can I use a Batch file?)

Everything was working OK, then.... When I do start , turn off computer, computer takes many minutes to get to the shut down menu. Then after selecting shut down it again take a long time to actually shut down. I have been using a hard reset to shut down.

RegEdt32 and Task Manager also do this all of a sudden. Applied XP SP2 and this did not help. Thanks for any guidance!

I have XP Home Edition on my brand new Dell computer. Want to install XP Pro "over" it, but I get an message (in Norwegian, both OS' are norwegian) that says Home Edition is newer than Pro so Pro can't be installed. Is this because of SP2? What can i do?

How do I boot without logging on? TweakUI offers a way, but it works once then doesn't 'stick' until a password is specified. That works for awhile then there is an error on bootup and eventually the screen locks up, and one has to do a reinstall of Windows XP. There is another ...

I don't know where else to turn with this problem, so I'm posting it here and on Macromedia user forum... Using Window XP, SP2, Internet Explorer ver. 6, latest updates. Installed latest versions of Macromedia players as well.
