Have read all info I can find on installing/enabling fax in windows xp. Have
gone through all steps, but don't quite get how it works yet! Re:

I have a folder Windows won't let me get rid of.  When I try to delete
it I get this:
"Cannot delete file:  Cannot read from the source file or disk."
When I try to rename it I get:

We have a network with Win2000 and WinXP. All computers are in a workgroup
with the same name.
When i try to see ohter computers i get ("Workgroup is not accessible.
Account is not authorized to log in from this station).

Help!  I inadvertently deleted something that resulted in a loss of search
capability.  Also, System Restore is not functional.  I believe it happened
when I deleted some Symantec Shared files.  Anybody got any thoughts what
files and how to get them?  Yes I emptied the Recycle ...

When I attempt to boot my computer it tells me "NTLDR is missing" I've done a
full format and everything but I'm stil having the problem. If anyoe could

the page, I'm in again. If I'm in a page where I have to type information
like this one I get a beep my typing is blocked and  goes inactive. I have to

How can I make my USB storage bootable, so I can boot up Windows XP in DOS
mode. Such as with a bootable floppy in the old days.

I have two PCs one with XP and 512 Mb RAM and an older laptop with Win 98
and 128 Mb RAM. Word 2000 opens much faster on the laptop than on the much
more powerful desktop PC. 15 secs on laptop v 65 secs on desktop PC to open
into a blank document.

In windows explorer, why are some of my file names listed in blue font?  I've

I would like to learn how to create a batch file.  How would I go about
doing this?  Is there a specific site dedicated to batch files?  I know that
there isn't a book as it is not that complex, or is it?

I thought I followed all of the instructions for encrypting folders in XP
(yes the volume is formatted with the NTFS file system), but the encrypt
contents option is always greyed out, preventing me from encypting. I am
using the XP home edition. Do I need Pro to encrypt?
