I was just looking at the C:\Windows\TEMP folder and there are 6 GB of files
and folders located there. Is it safe to clean out this folder? I have
WindowsXP Home edition.

I may be missing something after an intense spyware/malware removal
preventing me from automatic updates and someone with similar problem said a

I have a home workgroup network with two Windows XP Pro and one XP
Home boxes. I have shared folders and printers on one of the Pro
boxes. From the other Pro box I can connect to the share with
\\office\data, the name of the box, and it works fine.  From the Home

Beginning yesterday, when my boss launches any program ALL desktop icons
disappear.  The Start Button, Quick Lauch, toolbar and clock area are that's

When I go to XP Home's CtrlPnl > Add/RemovePgms it pops up a window with
a list of installed programs.  Over on the right is some information on
how much storage each program requires.
The thing that stumps me is why does it show some programs that are long
