Is it safe to use the WinME versions of Scandisk and Defrag on an XP machine? AND can I simply copy them from a WinME machine with no problem? These questions are really as simple as that...I hope. ;-)

Hi I have a problem with Windows XP Home Edition, Whenever I click on a folder Icon it doesn't open the folder but it opens a search pane with the yapping dog. Any ideas how I can change this so that I open the folders I want??

In Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs, I have 20 or more Windows Hotfixes. Is there a way of hiding these hotfixes? I don't want to remove or uninstall the hotfixes, just prevent them from appearing on the list. Thanks in advance.
