When I go Start | My Computer | Local Disk (C:) , when I right-click on the
last, a menu comes up asking (among other things) if I want to "Scan
Directory with eTrust PestPatrol." I don't have PestPatrol on my computer
anymore, and a search of my computer and registry  shows no ...

when i turn on the computer a blue screen appears asking me if i want to
check the continuity on the disk and to cancel press any key within 10 sec.
how do i stop it from asking me that?

I have purchased a new program for my small office that they suggest be run
on XP pro however, many more computers are available with XP media center
which is supposedly an upgrade.  Will XP media center do the job.

Here's my setup:
- My Regional and Language options are set to Arabic (Saudi Arabia) on both
the Regional Options tab and the Advanced tab
- My keyboard is set to Arabic Saudi Arabia (MS-101)

My System32 folder consistently opens at WindowsXP startup.  How can I

I have just installed a fresh copy of SP2 on my new Pentium dual core
PC, and when I try to run regedit I get a window titled something like:
16-bit MSDos subsystem with an error "NTDRV CPU illegal operation" (or
close to that).

When I go Start / Log off / Switch user and I select a user on the XP
welcome screen, my computer reboots after a brief blue crash screen.

Is there a way to set up widows so that when I go to open files in any
windows based program the list of files in the folder I am viewing shows the
file details (size, date modified etc)? I am sick of going into the toolbar
and selecting "details" as the viewing preference each ...

On my desktop titles under my folders, I am now getting a background
color, only on the title of the folder. (I have a personal picture as
