Before my File-Sharing Network on my XP SP2 Home machines miraculously
revived,  I had done a lot of experimenting.  Some of that experimenting
seems to  have messed up the ability to compare  some shared, same-named,
folders. on a single computer

How do I change or create new identity of a profile in XP?  ie. it shows up
on my network as Company31 and I really want it to sayPC John Doe.  any help

I'm trying to get two PCs networked, one to share a connection with the
other (it has two LAN cards). I have been able to get these computers to
recognize each other, but the client couldn't get to the Internet.
Is this possibly because ICS isn't evidently installed for either ...

I have a problem with my laptop, everytime I start up I get the following message  #MSNTB_TOOLBAR_FULL_NAME#  IS UNABLE TO LOAD ITS CONFIG FILE I click CLOSE and it goes away can anyone tell me how to get rid of it please.

I shall apologize now for intriducing a subject that perhaps has been
discussed. I have xp home. I recently purchased ms office 2000. While I was
installing it two issue came up:
Error 1919 ODBC  a datat source access data base ODBC error 6, this came up

XP Home SP 2, 5 user accounts, 4 of those are limited accounts, 1 i
admin.
Load an app under the admin account for all users to run. The admi
account can run the app fine.

I'm really hoping there is an easy answer to this question.
If I navigate to 'c:/windows/installer' and right-click on the folder,
according to some documentation I'm reading, I should see a properties folder
for installer.

I am running xp pro on my compaq and it keeps asking that I activate xp when
I reboot.
I really am fed up activating the OS each day.Any ideas whats causing

Hi,everyone.
Recently, I try to start my newsgroup by Outlook Express of Windows XP.But
unfortunately,I fail. My administrator have forbided changing local
accounts, you can't see any opinion on Control Panel. So, I can't start

It's funny... the folder icon for "My Music" folder always seems to disappear
and change back to a normal Folder icon... I don't know why. When it does so,
I can't even go in Properties and Customize it back. The is no tab to do so.
