When I download a program from the net, say from a shareware/freeware site,
sometimes there does not seem to be a way to delete that program. It does
not appear in the control panel "add/remove", nor does it appear in my One
Click Cleaner software program.

My Windows XP task bar used to occupy one line at the bottom of the
display.  The clock only displayed the current date.  Lately, the task
bar has gotten to be more  double its former height.  The clock area
now displays, on separate lines, the time, the day of week, and the

I would like to schedule the execution of a batch file (.BAT) periodically
based on a schedule.  In order to do this, I believe I need to schedule task
CMD.EXE (command prompt window) through Scheduled Tasks.  How do I invoke the
execution of a particular batch file after CMD.EXE ...

I've always used the brilliant TweakUI tool in Windows.
I'm using XP Pro just now, and have TweakUI 1.33 installed.  Most features
are ok, APART from the Paranoia tab, which is the one I like most - it isn't
working.  (e.g. it doesn't clear the Run prompt and doesn't clear ...

I created a new folder on my C: drive. The folder is located at C:\Pages
I cannot write to this folder. When I right click on properties, the read
only check box is highlighted (but not actually checked). I can't unmark it.
It keeps going back to being highlighted.

Why does the BIOS (F2 or bootup & memory) indicate 4GB installed but Control
Panel's System shows 2.99GB. The 10MB is a round off for the 8 MB used by
video so 3.99GB should be indicated for 4GB installed.
