I'll be installing XP Home on a friend's computer this weekend, but the 512mb memory I ordered won't get there until I'm about to leave. She has 128mb. Will XP install and run in that? I anticipate much swapping to disk. Thanks.

Can someone tell me why my favicon does not seem to work. It is 26x32 bytes and is referred to by a link in the home page. I displayed it in IE, ended IE and restarted, but it still does not appear in my favorites. http://www.dcsi.net/~denmarks/index.html

Is there a way that I can do 2 things. 1. Check what user is logged into a specific machine. 2. Check what machines a specific user is logged into. All machines on the network are XP PRo SP2, Except 2 W2k3 Servers.

Everytime I switch the res on this XP machine (800x600) to (1152x864) or whatever the PC scans the floppy. It does this everytime I switch the res and it gets very annoying. Is there a fix? I primarly use USB flash and CD-R, but on occassion I will use a floppy. Its

Is there a way to know when start up is complete? I have, on occasion, gotten to eager and locked up so badly that I had to turn off the electrical power. Thanks

I have had updates for Windows Defender at least twice a week for the fast few weeks. I have not seen any security updates for a long time. Maybe a couple of months. Does this seem correct. I just want to make sure that I don't have a problem.

I'm getting Explorer.exe errors when I log off the network. I have XP SP 2. Updates current. Error is The instruction 0x73dd11c7 referenced meory of 0x00000004. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate.
