Thanks,
Re-install with updates31 Jul 2006 23:20 GMT8
Should I need to do a complete re-install (Xp Pro), are windows updates
stored on the hard drive somewhere? It would be nice to slipstream all
updates onto a Xp install cd rather than have to go to windowsupdate and
download the lot again.

More memory?31 Jul 2006 18:57 GMT7
Hi All-A long question w/o any real knowledge of what I'm talking about-par

I had no response to my question about why I cannot save wav and mid files to My Music folder when they come in to me in an email, like I used to do.
I right click on the mid and used to be able to Save As but now the only options on my new system are Open, Cancel, Delete. If I ...
Remembering IDs and Passwords31 Jul 2006 17:01 GMT3
When you log onto a new site, which requires and ID (like an e-mail address)
and a password, Windows will ask if you want Windows to remember this ID and
password.  If you elect: YES, then next time you sign onto that site,
generally all you have to do is click once on the ID box ...

Funny thing, i notice that I cannot get a menu of the help commands via the

I can get some commands like copy /? dir /?  but the command lines are
limited.  I'm sure I was able to view a menu/listing of the help commands

We are transferring XP Pro from an older machine with a PCI bus (Intel 845
chipset) to a new machine with a PCI-E bus (Intel 975 chipset).
