I saved some photos that I used to use as desktops. My girl friend now uses my computer too. How can I permanetly delete these photos so not to cause an embarrassing moment. They are only on the display list and not in any file that I can find.

Can one use/install Window XP on other than the computer it is registered on? That is to say, if one aquires a second or third computer can one then register/install the same XP OS on all ones computers? Thanks for your help.

About 10 percent of the time, my PC does not shutdown. When I click on "turn off computer" I hust get my desktop. I used to solve this but doing a standby and then going on again and turning off from there. Yesterday I could not shutdown at all.

i'm fairly entry-level on my computer other than basics - but do have many docs/MUSIC/e-mails/programs would not want to lose if it crashed. possible to back up my computer (XP Prof) to DVD's in event of a crash? if so, I wouldn't know where to start - control panel, programs? ...

Although I am old enough to know better, I suffered two disk crashes, one after another. So my newyear-1/2 resolution was to back up regularly as I am supposed to. When I started trolling through help, all it led me to is setting

I have recently aquired a laptop, and it seems to have a wireless ability, but when I try to go to wireless I often get told there is no wireless signals available or that the only one is wanadoo, which is the last one I would be interested in!

I made the mistake of opening the Nero media player. It worked, just as I had hoped. It also decided to make itself my default CD player. This involves being the program that runs when I click on "Play". It also changed all the icons on my music files to the Nero icon.
