This is an addition to the "Another Folder/File Deletion Question" Although 54 of the 61 folders are totally EMPTY, I decided to leave them be. Thanks for the advice. I have about 50 "KB8*******.log" files. Are these ripe for deletion ??

Add/Remove programs lists KB893803. I have no clue what it is, but whatever it is I'm happy with it. Can I take a chance and double click the entry ?? Folder C:\Windows\$hf_mig$ has lots of "KB" files. Can these be deleted

1) When I type a url in IE ther web browser claims it has an error and send to microsoft popup happens. What can i do? It is OK for normal browsing so long as you don't directly type an url . 2) I get every 20min a pop message in bottom right of screen about nt kernel

My address bar doesn't display any history when I press the down arrow. It was working yesterday, so I tried to do system restore to correct the problem, but every bolded date I tried returned a message that the system could not be restored. Are the problems related? Help!

The file / icon names on my desktop used to be blue highlighted and no longer are. They are easier to read when highlighted. I have no idea how I lost the highlighting or how to get it back.
