a right arrow next to a program means what?? Also, why would we defrag our

The listing of my programs on this feature seems to be corrupted as there is
an enormous gap between the first few and all the rest which are at the
bottom of the page.

I have this problem. When I go to my desktop my wallpaper dosent fill

After using WMP10 and closing the application, WMP10 continues to run in
the background, and can be seen by opening task manager > processes. This
happens most times, but occasionally "wmplayer.exe" will close down.

Isthere a setting in IE that controls whether past addresses are stored for
auto-competion of new address input, or for a dropdown list?  We had the
ability to do this until today and it mysteriously vanished.

On my HP Pavillion a330n the DVD writer 300C HP, I get message(CD or DVD is
not recognized in Windows, there is no disk in the recorder). Sometimed it
records data on CD or DVD, sometimes it reads. Most times- "there is no disk
in the recorder". Also insert-"recordable disk".

This may be the wrong group to ask, but does anyone think there is any

Every time I start my PC I get an error message that says:
"EPSON PrinterPort
At least one service or driver failed during system startup.  Use Event
Viewer to examine the event log for details."

I recently changed by administrator username to "Cathy" from Julius to
in "Control Pane" but is system information, the user still shows up as

The computer just sits there with the 3 little sqaures
going from left to right.  How can I figure out what
is stopping the boot process? and ultimately fix it?
My first two guesses are hardware problems and
