Free space reduced after using remove18 Sep 2006 06:00 GMT3
My laptop has only 40GB space with about 11 GB in C drive. As the free space
was only 2.27 GB I tried to remove some unused programmes using add/remove
facility.
After this I was disappointed to see that the space got further reduced to

My problem is, it says I am not connected to the internet when I
definitely am. I can't request an upgrade because it thinks it can't
access the internet. I'm using version 10 - maybe there's no upgrade anyway.

sometimes when i copy the screen i need the mouse pointer to be visible, but
i can´t do it in Windows XP, i have used Windows NT 2000 and i can see it,
why not in XP??

There is a way to disable the double click function to operate via the touch
pad and only allow the double click via the left "mouse" button.
I have done this before but forgotten how ?

I installed an etrust product [internet security suite 2]. I had to
uninstall then reinstall. A message said unable to uninstall firewall.
This is a package deal,Antivirus,Firewall,ect. It did uninstall
everything else. I tried there support site. No help what so ever. Is

I bought a new mouse (Microsoft) and notice that pressing the scroll wheel
clicks, just like the right and left buttons.  I assume this is intentional,
and that something is supposed to happen when you press the wheel.  But
nothing seems to happen.  Since no instructions came ...

Whilst there are many Keyfinder programs to find the validation code for an
installed version of windows when one wants to reinstall the OP from the CD
but have lost the validation code, are there any which will find the code on
the CD ?.

Every time I reboot quick launch and desktop disapear from my task bar.
The toolbar on any window I open is set back to "Folders" .

I'm having problems with my Printers File.
When I open the printers folder either from 'start' or from the Control

I have a new XP laptop (from Lenovo) that came preloaded with the msSQL
service.  This is a stand-alone unit that will never be connected to a
network or server domain.  Can I delete this service (in Add/Remove
Programs), or at least set it to Manual instead of Automatic in ...
