Can I stop Windows remembering my credit card number14 Sep 2006 21:38 GMT4
Is there some way of disabling the box that remembers your details?. Name,
address etc is okay but don't like the fact that by hitting the first number
all 16 numbers are then displayed. Do my details show when another account
user uses the computer?

I've had a series of ugly things happening with my Windows XP SP2, all
starting when I tried to uninstall (for the 2nd time this year) Norton

I am new to XP & have Windows XP Professional service pack 2 with all
updates loaded.
My kids use my computers (desktop & laptop) too and I want to password
protect some of my folders.

In the Registry Editor there are 5 groups, I guess they're called keys.  I
read recently that two of them, HKEY_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, I believe,
contain the complete registry.  The other three were shortcuts to certain
areas in these two keys.

Someone set one of my XP PC's to the windows classic theme and I don't know
how to get things back to the original Windows XP look on the desktop.  Any

Not a serious problem, but I try and leave my system on 24/7, but after
several hours, I cannot connect through my DSL.  Rebooting ALWAYS
takes care of the problem.  Just curious what is going on ??  TIA

I did something somewhere when installing XP that I want to undo and don't
remember where it was and can't word it so Google can find me help.
What happens is if I download say, Index.htm and along with it comes the
folder "Index_files", if I delete the Index.htm, the folder gets ...

I could regularly print articles from internet & from yahoo mail.
I have recently installed zone alarm firewall and Mozilla firefox.
I don't know whether because of this or for some other reason I am not able
to print anything now.
