A neighbor has a problem with the search function when he clicks start then selects search. A window comes up with no text at all, just the dog. Title bar which normally says Search Results is also blank. Window is correct except it is missing all the text.

I followed http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378/EN-US/ and my ie6 can't be reinatlled as it says a newer version is on? I just followed the intruction to repair ie6 and the thing is impossible as i can't reintall it. IE6 is damaged so what do I do?
