Hi, I use Word everyday for my transcription job.  I am used to not having to
capitalize the first word of a sentence, as Word was doing it automatically
for me.  Suddenly, it stopped for no reason.  I have gone into the options
several times and checked the spelling/grammar ...

For whatever reason, my "Hide Inactive Icons" selection has decided to
stop working.  I removed past items, etc. from the registry in case is

Is it fine to defragment the C drive once a week? everyother day? I was
suggested, by another poster MVP, to try diskeeper lite-and that program
does basically what the one that comes with XP does. but this one tells you
that you should defrag. daily/more often. when I analyze ...

after installing XP Pro, every time it is booted up, the following message
appears (HOW do I get rid of it so it goes right into the desktop?): "The

While cleaning with CCleaner I found few index.dat file which couldn't be
cleaned.
What are these .dat file?
Can they be safely removed ?

Can anyone tell me why, when I start Word, I get a MS error report message
that states that the application ps2.exe has encountered an error and needs
to shut down.  It doesn't seem to affect viewing, editing, printing, or
saving Word documents, or affect anything else for that ...

In System -- Advanced -- Memory Settings.  
Under what circumstances would it be beneficial to tick the "Cache"
setting over the "Programs" setting ??

On the installation i made some mistake and i insert my name as account

Just recently my WIndows Explorer behaviour seems to have changed, and when I
click on one of the shortcuts in 'My Documents', instead of opening the
folder name as a list, it opens a search onto that folder.
Does anyone have any idea why this is, and how I can revert to the ...

The wave volume control slider will not stay up for high volume or any level
except low... I raise the slider up and it comes down sometime thereafter.
Mute boxes are not checked.  Any ideas???
