Repeat question:  Get error message when booting up computer.  Message says:  
"Invalid boot.ini file".  Sometimes I get the set up screen, sometimes not.  
Sometimes the desktop loads just fine, sometimes it takes forever.  Am

Is it possible to set up an XP Home computer to operate in another room with
no keyboard or display?  Mostly I just want it to sit and crunch numbers,
but occasionally I'd need to use a different computer's keyboard and display
to check up on it, tweak the process, etc.

People say that you only experience more speed if the software is written
for Dual Core technology. However, I bought a Dual Core processsor machine,
and it is much much much faster with the dual core. Is everyone wrong?

Can anyone tell me if there is any advantage in using DVD-R disks instead of
CD-R disks when backing up data?

My Toshiba laptop is able to burn a CD by just dragging the files to the
CD window or using right click send to CD drive. I then go to the CD
drive window and the left panel has a first selection burn CD.
Is this part of Windows XP or was some extension installed on my computer?

I want to change how I view web pages and emails for easier reading.  I know
there is a procedure but can't remember.  Thanks for helping.

My pc crashed and i was unable to recover any of the operating system. i
ordered new recovery disks from hp and installed new system. went
directly to windows site and downloaded all the updates it said i
needed.

It seems my Internet Explorer does not show the custom icons in the Favorites
area.  It only shows the generic "e" symbol.  Is there some way to enable or
turn-on the small icons in the Favorites pane?

BlankI am trying to load a popup from a particular site, to no avail.  I have turned off my popup blocker.  I went to tools/internet options/privacy/sites and specifically allowed popups from this site.  but they are still blocked.  help please.
