when i go to Add/Remove in the control panel not all of the programs that are installed are displayed. For those that are displayed only portion have Change/Remove buttons when i highlight them.

I'm accustomed to have My Documents icons arrange by date Created with the option of arranging them by Name if needed. I think there was also an "Auto Arrange" option. Yesterday, I noticed a different array of "Views".

when i start my computer the logon takes several minutes. when i open the task manager the are around 71 process that are running. how do i clear what starts up automatically when i boot/logon to my system?

My option in XP to start the firewall is greyed out. I've tried to get in there through the control panel, and the 'windows firewall' with no luck. Is there a registry setting that I can turn the firewall on with?
